* Knowledge and assessment of the Arabian horse (for all enthusiasts + Stage 1 of the national judge's course)
The programme includes knowledge of the horse's body, analysis of its parts, legs and gaits, flaws and faults in gaits, functionality and potential. Knowledge of the Arabian horse, the concept of the breed, characteristics of the Arabian horse, breed standard, beauty, conformation and functionality within the Arabian breed, major and minor faults weighted and morphological specificities linked to breeding orientation and disciplines. Specific genetic diseases of the Arabian breed: SCID, CA, LFS, OAAM, JIE, GTP, RER/PSSM2/MFM, DSLD and coat colour genetics in the Arabian breed. Practical exercises: methodical observation and taking landmarks on the horse's body - visualisation of the axes, angles, orientation and proportions of the different parts, according to the breed standard and functionality. Introduction to the conformation and gait assessment tool.

* Judging the Arabian Horse (prospective national judges who have passed Stage 1 + anyone who wants to try their hand at judging).
What does judging mean? The different methods of judging in shows and breeding competitions. Judging systems and methodology. Judging routines and presentation moments. Discovering forms and grids. Rating scales as currently used. Methodology and note-taking. Judges' ethics.
Practical exercises with horses: ranking and judging exercises, strength points, faults, awarding points and ranking.

* Skills reinforcement for national and prospective national judges
This training-plan is specifically built for individuals who are aspiring to be an Arabian Horse judge, National judges and those who are in need of a refresher, to reinforce their assessment and judgement of horses up to the latest standards and trends, as well as all required and demanded communicational skills.
Of course, anyone else, Arabian Horse breeders, - owners and -enthusiasts interested in broadening their skillset or want to improve their theoretical and practical knowledge are mostly welcome!

* Let's talk about heads and necks (for all enthusiasts + Stage 1 of the national judge's course)
A module focusing on the Arabian horse's head, its characteristics, anatomy and proportions, and everything that makes its expression unique, so that nothing can be ignored about its qualities, faults and defects and their consequences on the horse's health, well-being and use. Observation methodology and practical exercises to visualise the shape and proportions of the different parts of the head and practical discovery of the specific assessment tool will complete the training.

* Let's talk about movement (for all enthusiasts + Stage 1 of the national judge course)
A module centred on the study of gaits and the study of ideal movement in the Arabian breed, their particularities and everything that makes up the unique expression and charisma of the Arabian horse in movement, so that nothing can be ignored about the qualities, faults and their consequences on the health, well-being and use of the horse. Observation methodology and practical exercises to visualise planes and tracks during movement; the different characteristics of each gait as well as practical discovery of the specific assessment tool will complete the course.

* Hereditary genetic diseases in the Arabian breed
Focus on the consequences: health and use of the horse, financial impact and legal liability. Vocabulary and a quick reminder of the basic principles of genetics, hereditary genetic diseases present in the Arabian breed: definition, mechanism, symptoms, lineages involved,
consequences on the horse's health and daily management. Legal aspects: articles of law and case law. Legal responsibilities and obligations of the breeder, seller, lessor, broker,
owner, rider, stallion, keeper, etc. Financial and legal risks.

The appeal of special coats is becoming increasingly important in the Arabian horse market. When this is one of our objectives, it's a good idea to have a thorough knowledge of coat genetics to give yourself every chance of producing foals with the coat of your dreams! Flaxen manes, Black, Rabicano, Dominant White, Sooty, all this will soon be very clear!
